I just can't get enough of this guy

Although I loved him in movies such as Major League, Wall Street, Young Guns, Ferris Bueller's Day Off (a bit part, but still worth mention) etc, etc, Charlie Sheen's entertainment value has exploded seemingly overnight. With each new interview he does or video he releases you think "ok, this is as good as it gets", but it keeps getting better. With no end in sight, Charlie releases another video titled "Torpedoes of Truth 2", watch it for yourself:

Seriously though, I laughed more in 11 minutes to that than I have through 8 seasons of Two and a Half Men, so he's obviously doing something right (if comedy is what he's shooting for).

Keep on winning Charlie

Yet another half-time failure

Although Greenbay won the game against the Steelers by a score of 31-25, the real story is the ridiculously funny/bad/embarrassing musical acts before the game and during half time (only because I can't bring myself to really care about football).

Obviously when you mess up your own national anthem when singing it at a sporting event, people are going to laugh, but when you mess it up at one of the largest sporting events on the planet, there's going to be a lot of negative attention coming your way.  Here is Christina Aguilera's performance before the game:

In my opinion this only happens because artists try to add their own artistis flares and flourishes to a song that doesn't need to be added on to or improved.  Although I'm not an American, I know I hate it when singers do that to our national anthem (Canada).  There's a reason it's called a "National" anthem, it doesn't need to be remixed or redone.

I'm also not a big Black Eyed Peas fan (I personally find Will.i.am's name alone infuriating) I almost peed my pants when I saw Slash and Fergie perform a duet to the tune of 'Sweet Child of Mine".  How Slash, BEP and Usher managed to get on the same stage, I have no idea, but it happened, and millions were disappointed I'm sure.

Something tells me we'll be hearing Axl's opinion on the performance in the near future.

Steve Jobs Not Dead?

Apparently the Bloomberg Financial Newswire published Apple CEO Steve Job's obituary prematurely in an editing error.  How crazy would that be to wake up and read about your own death in the paper?  That's some real Back to The Future shit there.

I imagine this isn't great for Apple's stocks either (although really, if they do go down, it won't be for long).

You can read the obituary here: http://gawker.com/5042795/steve-jobss-obituary-as-run-by-bloomberg

I wonder if we'll be seeing an itombstone complete with touchscreen and 4G networking in the near future?

Cataclysm

Although I haven't played WoW in a couple months, the more videos I watch, the more I want to pick up Cataclysm when it comes out.

Let the wow hate begin.

Avery up to his old tricks

It seems like Avery can't go anywhere without controversy following closely behind.

Although it was a bit of a cheap shot yes, Smid should have definitely seen it coming.  When you're trying to start a fight, you shouldn't immediately drop your guard the second a player looks like he's going to skate away, its not like this is the first time someone has thrown a cheap shot in hockey.  Also, what was Smid doing trying to start fights when he's wearing a visor?  In my opinion that's cheaper than what Avery did.

Its just unfortunate that if it was anyone else, that "cheap shot" wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but because of Avery's reputation, every little thing he does is going to be put under a microscope.  Say what you want about him though, he may not be the classiest player in the league, but he definitely makes for good tv.

Another kodak Avery moment incase you haven't already seen it (maybe you live in a cave or something):
